Year-end Madness
Hallo all! Kumusta? I'm doing fine. The year is ending and just like everything else, everything's just crazy right now... hehe
First off, my contract with the client is ending by the end of this year and so everything is soooooooo crazy and busy right now with the deadlines overlapping each other (test and retest cases)... I feel a bit sad that I will be leaving them. I have worked with good and "gezellig" colleagues and I will surely miss the fun that we had while working at the lab... Sigh. But like what I said to my Bangladeshi colleague of mine from our company who left last week, "the nature of our job (consultancy) allows us to meet and work with a lot of people from a lot of different companies... In a way, we have a lot of colleagues in the end..."
So yeah, it has been a crazy past couple of months and it will continue until the end of December I guess. I have forgotten what I have done the past two months but I do remember a few highlights:
- October (forgot the date) - Became a full-fledged member of Takeda Ryu. (http://www.takedaryu.nl/EN/index.html).
- October 25 - I passed my Dutch practical driving exam on my second try. I was extremely happy I actually did my happy dance at the CBR (their version of the Philippines' LTO).
- October 29 - Gemeente Vianen (the city hall) allows me to pick up my driving license. Usually it takes( a week after application at the city hall to pick up the license.. Mine was finished in a few days. Probably there aren't that much applicants?
- November 6 - I receive my "temporary" company car. A diesel engine gray Peugeot 207. (see link to picture: http://cdn.perrys.co.uk/d/used-photos/1323/400x300/0/1/KY56XYO.jpg). I have yet to order my "lease car" but as of the moment, I am going to think about it well...
- November 29 - I finally learn to make sushi for Elske and Bjorn's party. Oishi!!!
- December 3 - I finally get my dogi and hakama and I now really feel like a samurai... ^_^ Kidding aside, I will post the link to the photo in this website a few days from now. I will also try and make a photo album of me and the guys as well train..
You get to see us in action!
However, in the coming days I will be attending the following things:
- December 5 - Our dojo's Sinterklaas training... Pepernoten, chocolade lettertjes and candy schuimpjes here we come! ^_^
- December 13 - CIMSolutions Christmas Dinner at the luxurious restaurant Boerderij Mereveld.
- December 24 - Last day at NDEV and will be having Christmas breakfast with colleagues as I start my Christmas vacation. At Ate Jo's place, I will be celebrating my very first and quiet Christmas Noche Buena with Ate Jo and Ate Yvonne.
- December 25 - Rest day before I go to Eindhoven adventure.
- December 26 to 29 - Stay in Eindhoven with my CIM colleague Yvonne as we party and most probably go skiing in somewhere in Limburg..
Mind you, Holland doesn't have any hills or mountains to ski in but Yvonne and I will be going to the indoor skiing resort somewhere in Limburg...
I will keep you guys updated whether in words or in photos. By the way, it's been snowing here every now and then already. Started somewhere in November... ^_^ Advanced Merry Christmas to all of you and God bless you all! Till my next blog post!
